Sweet potato Chaat(shakarkand chaat)

Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, boiled, peeled, and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 large sweet potato, boiled, peeled, and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1½ tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1-inch ginger, thinly sliced
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind pulp
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped

Method

  1. Mix half a tablespoon of lemon juice and a pinch of salt with ginger slices and keep aside.
  2. Peel the banana and cut it into 1-inch pieces. Mix with half a teaspoon of lemon juice and keep aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine potatoes, sweet potatoes, and banana pieces. Add the remaining lemon juice, tamarind pulp, green chilies, chaat masala, salt, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  4. Garnish with ginger slices and serve.
